FREQUENCY AND DISTRIBUTION
The "National STAR" is a weekly newspaper that comes out every Thursday.It will soon increase its frequency to become a bi-weekly and then a daily in the near future.The paper hopes to distribute across the country over fifteen thousand copies per issue.
EDITORIAL POLICY
The "National STAR" believes that concentration on partisan politics has been the mainstay of most existing newspapers, leaving many other important issues getting little coverage.To address these biases, the "National STAR" has drawn up a policy "To ensure that communal and societal problems are highlighted with the intention of seeking lasting solutions.To achieve this,the paper employs high journalistic standards and the best in modern technology to create a forum for addressing the ills of society".
The promoters of the newspaper wish to keep out of the public domain and thus will ensure that publications that would stir up tribal,religious,racial,political,and anti-social sentiments that may amount to libel or slander are not entertained.
MECHANICS
The "National STAR" newspaper registered at the National Media Commission as a social newspaper on the 4th of May,2009,with registration NMC/C.I39/09/899.The paper is stationed at Apugu Tower,Abeka-Lapaz in Accra.Our postal address is P.O.Box 17798,Accra.Telephone:(+233) 21-238165/0244285944.
The "National STAR" newspaper currently has 16 pages;eight pages shall be printed in colour,with four solely devoted for advertising.The printing medium is newsprint of higher grade and grammage.
